Welcome to the Pre-War section of the Racing Felthams web site, and just in case your car dates from before this era, the Henniker Mews cars will be made most welcome too - as well as our friends with Lagonda, Bentley, Alta and other similar wonderfully competitive cars in period .
We are not intending to encroach on anyone else's programme of events, but we are trying to keep you informed about a series of social as well as competitive events throughout the season aimed at extending everyone's fun and enjoyment. Full details of all the AMOC events are on their website.
As most of our cars carry VSCC "buff" forms with "Standard" or "Modified" Sports Car classifications, can we suggest that some of the best racing for these cars as well as the AMOC dates really starts with the VSCC. In particular John Guyatt is running a very successful 'Set' of races at each one of the VSCC Race Meetings this year.
The season starts at Silverstone on Saturday 24th April with the Fox and Nichol Trophy Race, an 8 lapper for "road trim Sports cars". In addition, there are 5 lap scratch and handicap races, a couple of "Allcomers" races and a Regularity Trial. (How "regular" is entirely up to you!)
The next VSCC event is on the lovely Oulton Park circuit on Saturday the 22nd of May, which sadly clashes with AMOC's re-sheduled Horsfall meeting. The Bill Phillips Trophy is for "road trim Sports cars", along with the usual four or five scratch and handicap races.
For the more adventurous, there is the "Legends" series of one hour races, starting with Silverstone Grand Prix circuit on 15/16th of May. Open by invitation from Duncan Wiltshire, (but our cars are always welcome) this will be a feast for the Pre-War cars. All genuine Sports Cars, driven in a gentlemanly and lady like fashion, the competition is exceptionally good, but nice with it, and the hospitality is always excellent.
The next round of Duncan's series is at Dijon, just south of Paris on the 19/20th of June. A bit further a field, but with National A licences being acceptable (check with Duncan), a very nice way to start enjoying the summer.
If your interest lies more to the Hills, then the season starts with Harewood on the 11th of April, while a little further north, it's Forestburn on the 27th June, returning south to Shelsley Walsh on the 3rd of July.
